Unusual And Strange Food in Vietnam

Some people think these animals should be eradicated, or at least there are parts of his body that must be removed. But in Vietnam, all the body parts of animals included in the pot to be cooked.

There are local expressions of Vietnam who said that when a man confronted with a new type of animal was first seen, he would ask: “Are these animals dangerous?”. Furthermore, he would ask: “Are these animals can be eaten?”

The Vietnamese are an adventurous eater, and they are not afraid to eat all the animals.
Here are bizzare dishes from Vietnam so intresting to try. After Crash ;0p

Pha lau
Disposing of animal body parts is not a habit in Vietnam. Pha lau is a pile of intestines, lungs, kidneys, liver and stomach of a cow or pig. Offal tasty it is cut and loaded into the baguette or sold as a snack dish for friends drinking beer or rice wine.

Dental squid
Dental squid (muc now) is another proof that the Vietnamese people never get rid of animal body parts. Squid’s mouth parts round about the size of marbles, white, with tiny black beak appears at its end. Boiled with ginger, roasted so satay, or fried flour, snack foods are popular as school children or busy mothers.

Fetal duck eggs

Fetal duck egg is a snack, appetizer, drink beer and friends who are very popular. It contained more loudly than usual boiled egg, the fetus is already half-formed duck in it. Maybe there were signs of hair began to appear, but will be destroyed in the mouth. How to eat: break the top, insert the liquid, then spoon the contents. Is a popular seasoning lemon and black pepper, fresh herbs, pickled vegetables, raw garlic or green chili.

Frog
Vietnamese people do not just eat frog legs. After removing the entrails and skin the fat frogs, they usually fry, boil or bake it. One exception: the first night’s heavy rain, the villagers would hunt a kind of smooth-skinned frog. They would then boil them whole, after removing the stomach muscle, then eat the whole frog – including skin, intestine, and others, with a little lemon juice, salt and pepper.

Insect
Ethnic Khmer living in the Mekong Delta is one of eating insects and spiders most in Vietnam, though some tribes who lived in the mountains also enjoy snack giant aquatic insects, tarantulas and scorpions. The most frequently consumed are crickets, bees and silkworm larvae. Most insects were fried and flavored to taste because there is no seasoning, the insect has no sense.

Before eating wild animals

Unfortunately, a few restaurants in Vietnam serve wild animals, even endangered, and most are obtained by illegal means. Some guide books and television programs recommend these places, and ignore environmental issues. Channel Travel Channel recently had re-edited episodes of “No Reservations” and “Bizarre Foods” that shows the consumption of wild animals in Vietnam and Cambodia over the demands of the Wildlife Conservation Society.

Vietnam allows “farm” of wild animals is in operation if they pay a license. But many farm animals to get meat from poachers, including tiger parts, the liquid heart bears and rhinoceros horns are smuggled from Africa. So, in Vietnam, avoid all restaurants serving exotic animals. They are not unique, but illegal.
